A bit of fun for General Synod to find out whether Synod represents the people!
Who do you think should be appointed to be the next Archbishop of Canterbury?
In a very informal consultation, Anglican Futures will be asking Synod members to vote IN PERSON (a booth will be outside the chamber after each session) and others to vote ONLINE using the poll below and we will compare the results on Tuesday.
The names put forward by the bookies are written below - but if you willing to put your shirt on an outsider, vote for "someone else" AND put their name in the comments below so we can add them to the list.
We look forward to hearing your thoughts!
Who should be the next Archbishop of Canterbury?
The Rt Revd Michael Beasley
The Rt Revd Guli Francis-Dehqani
The Rt Revd Helen-Ann Hartley
The Rt Revd Rose Hudson-Wilkin
Philip North, Bishop of Blackburn
The Right Reverend Andrew Watson
Do not underestimate how far Stephen Cottrell will go to ensure the person appointed to Canterbury is a failure. Why? A leader of stature will expose the true nature of Cottrell's moral leadership and spoil Cottrell's self-appointed role as the hope of the CofE.
How about Ian Paul- clear headed thinker and an actual Christian https://www.psephizo.com/about/
Googled him!
Michael Beasley voted in favour of the introduction of blessings for same-sex couples by the Church of England in February 2023, [13] and in November of that year voted to approve "standalone services for same-sex couples" on a trial basis.[14]
So no doubt the Apostate C of E will want him next.
You people really don't actually believe God exists in the slightest do you.
Bless your little cotton lost souls.
